Facebook now has a built-in AntiVirus

The Facebook network, which has about 800 million users, received a most welcomed upgrade: the antivirus that should prevent those risky situations that expose users personal information.

Websense has developed a security software that checks the links on your Wall and other profiles and warns you if the page you want to access contains potentially harmful code.

As a mechanism, the antivirus on Facebook is similar to the one implemented by Google, Mozilla or Opera browsers - they only make us aware of the risks, they don't also protect us. Those who insist on clicking on that address and don't have a security solution to block viruses will surely infect their computers.

By implementing antivirus, Facebook has taken an important step in securing the network. However, problems related to exposure os users is still strongly disputed.
